Lisa Griffin Burns joined the Board of HPCC after completing treatment for Stage 3 uterine cancer. Lisa experienced the curative power of energy- and heart-based sessions which helped align her mind and body, and achieve faster healing and recovery.
Lisa’s experience with Healing Touch drives her passion to serve on the Board. She brings her nonprofit start-up management experience, and 25+ years of municipal and nonprofit educational leadership to assist HPCC toward expansion, especially to underserved communities. She is also committed to responsibly guiding board development using a socio-economic and cultural diversity lens to recruit new Board members.
Her expertise includes Human Resources management, volunteer engagement, operations, and facilities/safety management. Lisa is a dedicated community advocate for housing affordability and homelessness, foster youth, and promoting the nonprofit sector. She serves on several local nonprofit Boards. Lisa holds an M.A. in International Policy Studies and a B.A. in Business Management. Her hobbies include traveling, swimming, walking her dog, bicycling, gardening, kayaking, painting, and skydiving. Lisa brings her enthusiasm, positivity, curiosity, and passion to the HPCC Board.
