July 2024 - Healing Partners of the Central Coast (HPCC) welcomes ten new Healing Touch Providers who have recently joined our team and enabled HPCC to progress on our priority focus — the expansion of our organization’s ability to serve more and more cancer patients in need. To qualify, each Provider has completed a minimum of two courses of Healing Touch training curriculum and attended a Provider orientation that delves more deeply into how to use Healing Touch to address the specific needs and challenges of cancer patients. The Provider Training includes valuable information about various cancer diagnoses, what techniques work best to manage the symptoms of cancer and the side effects of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, creating healthy relationships with their assigned patients, ethics and professionalism, and self-care.

Each of the new Providers has also gone on to complete Course 3 in Healing Touch training to further their HT education and gain more tools for their work with Participants.

HPCC is grateful to our new team members for their commitment to community health and well-being and we look forward to serving and increased number of cancer patients who will experience higher quality of life through Healing Touch and our team’s dedicated and compassionate patient service.
