March 2025 — Two dedicated Healing Touch practitioners, Susan Kastner and Therese Owen, were honored in a heartfelt pinning ceremony after successfully completing the stringent requirements necessary to become Certified Healing Touch Practitioners (CHTP). The event, hosted by Healing Partners of the Central Coast, celebrated their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to the art of healing.

Kastner and Owen embarked on their certification journey together, supporting and pushing each other to fulfill the rigorous training and mentorship requirements. Their shared dedication culminated in the meaningful moment when they received their certification pins at the same time, marking a significant milestone in their healing careers.

The ceremony featured a special candlelight tribute, symbolizing the light and healing energy they bring to the world. The pinning ceremony was facilitated by their mentors, Margot Baker and Caroline Elliott, RN, BScN, CHTP, who presented them with their certification pins. Also in attendance to honor the two women was Anne Day, BSN, MA, HNB-BC, Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor, who was their instructor for three levels of training and was there to recognize their dedication and achievement.

Their journey to certification represents a commitment to healing, compassion, and professional excellence in the field of energy medicine. As they step forward in their new roles as Certified Healing Touch Practitioners, they bring with them the skills, dedication, and light needed to support and uplift those they serve.

A group of ten dedicated students recently achieved a significant milestone by completing their Level 4 training in Healing Touch. This intensive, three-day training deepened their knowledge and skills while aligning them with the professional responsibilities of a Healing Touch Practitioner.

During the course, students explored the vital aspects of case management, including assessing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring client care to ensure timely and appropriate treatment. They also learned how to optimize available resources to enhance health outcomes, reinforcing their commitment to providing holistic and effective healing practices.

Reflecting on the experience, student Sheri Parelskin shared, "The class really helped me set the intention for further training to become a certified Healing Touch Practitioner. The exchange of healing, support with techniques, sharing experiences, and being present in such a loving cocoon definitely filled my heart."

With the completion of Level 4, these students are now eligible to work toward certification. To achieve this prestigious credential, they must complete a year-long mentorship program and fulfill certification documentation and curriculum requirements, and have their certification requirements reviewed at a Level 5 class. After completion of these rigorous requirements they become eligible to submit their application for certification.

The Healing Touch community congratulates these students on their dedication and hard work. Their journey toward becoming certified healing touch practitioners marks an important step in their commitment to bringing healing and compassion to those they serve.

My Provider helped me tremendously in my sessions and was a high point of every week during chemo. The care extended into my home life as well, with helpful information on meditation, relaxation, and positive mindset.
